Applications on plain paper with complete bio-data along with the photocopies of mark sheets and other supporting documents are invited for ONE post of PROJECT FELLOW (purely temporary) to work in the UGC sponsored Major Research Project entitled, “Evaluation of biosafe products as an alternate strategy to improve the postharvest quality and shelf life of some perishable horticultural produce”.

Posts: Project Fellow

Educational Qualification: Second class M. Sc. Degree in Botany / Biochemistry / Life Sciences / Biosciences/subject with a minimum of 55% marks for general category or 50% in case of SC / ST / PH).

Fellowship: Project Fellow may be appointed with a consolidated fellowship of
i) NET/GATE qualified - Rs. 16,000/- p.m. for initial 2 years and Rs. 18, 000/- p.m. for the third year.
ii) Non-GATE/Non-NET - Rs. 14,000/- p.m. for initial 2 years and Rs. 16,000/- p.m. for the third year.

Duration: This position is purely temporary and it is Up to 30 – 06- 2018 or co-terminus with the project.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on an interview.

Educational Qualification : The candidate to be considered for appointment of Project Fellow must have minimum of Second Class (55% marks or equivalent CGPA, 50% in case of SC/ST/PH) at Master Degree in Statistics or M. Phil. in the subject concerned. The candidate appointed as Project Fellow may be enrolled for Ph. D. degree if NET qualified. Age Limit : Candidates should be below the age of 40 years at the time of application

Remuneration: Consolidated Fellowship of Rs. 14,000/- per month for initial 2 years & Rs. 16,000/- per month from the 3rd year onwards plus HRA as per University norms (as per new UGC guidelines).
